I would love to see a thread where people talk about how reading Captain Awkward helped them use their words, get out of a job slump, ditch their Darth Vader, etc. And/or a thread where letter writers can update fellow Awkwardeers if they so choose.

It's definitely the Captain Awkward influence that helped me come out with a "WOW" in a voice that stopped traffic when someone said something racist in my presence. I silenced the whole restaurant.
